New wellness offer:

From March 27, 2024, a new wellness area “Favorite Spa” will be available to guests. There you can relax on 250 m2. A new 90 degree sauna, a steam bath, an infrared cabin and a relaxation area are available to guests. An in-house masseur offers a variety of different massages. Additionally, there is a rooftop spa on the 5th floor with a 75 degree sauna, whirlpool and sun loungers. The indoor pool completes the wellness area

Rooms:

All 145 guest rooms have a spacious bedroom, living and working area, as well as a comfortably furnished bathroom with a hairdryer and a shower / bathtub. In addition, a telephone, minibar, color TV with cable and free SKY TV as well as a room safe, air condition and wireless LAN are provided as standard. The guests enjoy a magnificent view of the park or the Rhine from all rooms.

The 102 guest rooms in the park wing additionally have radio / CD alarm clock.
The rooms, to the city park (park studios and park suites), are equipped with a balcony and have the open bath room concept.
The bathrooms are additionally provided with underfloor heating and the suites are upgraded with a cordless telephone.

Due to the actual situation, all seatings in the conference rooms consider the best available distance. The foyer in front of the conference rooms and the terrace make a coffeebreak possible. The new food concept ist developped with regard to the best available distance during lunchtime.

The conference area is even with the ground with a direct entrance to the park and an own business center. Working in a relaxed, productive and creative atmosphere.

All rooms have daylight, air condition and a technical equipment like beamer, microphone, screen, W-Lan and ISDN state of the art.

For a social program we will assist you on demand. E.g. wine-tasting, wineyard excursion, teambuilding-events, culinary wine-tasting, guided city-tours, visit of ZDF-broadcast center, visit the different museum, enjoyable Rhinetour with an excursion boat, motorboat-events on the river Rhine, outdoor-program, winemaker olympics, winemaker rallye etc.

Restaurants:

In the elegant atmosphere of the FAVORITE gourmet restaurant enjoy a menu based on our credo „delicious, exact and always a pleasure“. The restaurant is awarded by 16 Gault Millau points.
In the summer period, enjoy your menu on our terrace. And finally, a smokers lounge belongs to the restaurant.

Who prefers wine and design, the “Winebar“ is the perfect location. Supported by the interior designer Peter Albert, who describes the realisation as follows „ Mid century lounge meets modern interpreted vintage winebar“ the winebar was newly created. The lounge and restaurant concept offers a remarkable selection of cocktails and wines and a wide-ranging menu with modern food trends as well as regional and international kitchen.

The most beautiful beergarden of the region is the “FAVORITE Biergarten“. With space for 500 guests sitting under the treetop of wonderful old trees and a phantastic view of the cathedral and the Rhine, beer and regional

Hofgut Laubenheimer Höhe, just 4 km away, nestled in the midst of wineyards is the perfect location for an additional social program. The „Weinbergshütte“ is open the whole year and offers regional kitchen.

Ich kenne es so, dass sich am Veranstaltungstag morgens persönlich beim Ansprechpartner des Kunden vorgestellt wird, man alle Punkte noch einmal durchspricht und relevante Örtlichkeiten aufzeigt (Toiletten, Kaffeepausen, Mittagessen usw.). Das war im FAVORITE leider nicht der Fall.
Hinzu kommt, dass meine Kollegin und ich am Veranstaltungstag ständig Personal suchen gehen mussten, um Anmerkungen und Wünsche zu äußern. Der Meetingdesk war nie besetzt! Wenn mir der Weg zum Büro von Frau Barth nicht bekannt gewesen wäre, hätte ich häufig lange einen Mitarbeiter suchen müssen.
Der Kollege aus dem Bankettservice stand am Vorabend jederzeit hilfsbereit zur Seite und hat sich enorm viel Mühe gegeben – offen gesprochen hat er hinsichtlich Engagement und Servicegedanke deutlich heraus gestochen (den Namen habe ich mir leider nicht gemerkt – er kommt aber ursprünglich aus der Schweiz, so wie er erzählte). Richten Sie ihm gerne nochmal meinen herzlichen Dank aus!
Zu den Tagungsräumen: Diese sind teilweise an der ein oder anderen Stelle stark in die Jahre gekommen. Im Plenarsaal lassen sich die Vorhänge teilweise gar nicht mehr richtig schließen, rechts neben der Leinwand hat ein Vorhang komplett gefehlt. Die Stuhlpolster hatten größtenteils viele Flecken und waren sogar lose, sodass man Angst hatte, dass der Stuhl jeden Moment in sich zusammenfällt. Der Flipchart im Gruppenraum war so wackelig, sodass wir ihn kurz vor Veranstaltungsbeginn austauschen mussten. Hier haben Sie, Frau Barth, schnell reagiert!
Ein absolutes No-Go waren die Wasserflecken und Lippenabdrücke auf den Gläsern im Tagungsraum sowie die Teller am Mittagsbuffet mit vertrockneten Essensresten, die beim Spülgang nicht entfernt wurden.
Während dem Check-In der Gäste vor dem Plenarsaal ist wie von Geisterhand das Metallschild vom Tableau des Aufzugs auf den Boden gefallen – was kein schöner Anblick und gleichzeitig unangenehm für uns als Gastgeber war.
Die Türen zu den Tagungsräumen sollten dringend mehr gegen Lärm isoliert werden. Während unserer Kaffeepause hat sich eine andere Tagungsgruppe über zu hohen Lärm beschwert. Dass eine Kaffeepause mit über 80 Teilnehmern nicht wie in einer Kirche ablaufen kann, versteht sich sicher von selbst.
Die Beschilderung für Kaffeepausen und Mahlzeiten sollte dringend optimiert werden. Mittlerweile gehören Digital Signage Lösungen auch zum Standard professioneller MICE Hotels. Hier wäre eine Info enorm wichtig gewesen, dass das Mittagessen – anders als Begrüßungskaffee/Kaffeepause – in der Bar stattfindet. Lediglich ein kleiner Tischaufsteller für die Kaffeepause, der noch nicht einmal in Laufrichtung stand, hat vermuten lassen, dass es sich nicht um unser Mittagessen handelt. Auch eine allgemeine für die tagenden Unternehmen individuell zu bespielende Beschilderung zur Orientierung haben wir vermisst.
Auch wenn die zusätzlichen Softgetränke als Entschädigung nicht berechnet wurden (Danke dafür!), so möchte ich ebenfalls anmerken, dass der Kaffee aus der Kaffeemaschine am Veranstaltungstag erst kalt war und die Kaffeemaschine am Folgetag beim Frühstück vor dem Tagungsraum gar nicht erst zur vereinbarten Uhrzeit um 9:00 Uhr einsatzbereit war.
